For the second year, a public service in Somerset on the eve of Sept. 11 will commemorate the loss of 40 men and women aboard United Flight 93 seven years ago.
The National Park Service, the Families of Flight 93 and the memorial project partners are inviting the public to attend events this week marking the anniversary of the terrorist attacks. A brief ceremony will be held on the morning of Sept. 11 as well.
The formal service will take place Wednesday evening at the Somerset Alliance Church in Somerset beginning at 7 p.m. The evening service was first held last year.
