A 3-year-old boy was injured Thursday afternoon when his shoes were caught in an escalator at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta.

The boy, whose name was not released, was riding a Concourse C escalator with parents around 1 a.m., when his shoes were caught, trapping and seriously injuring his foot, airport officials said.
