The panel that oversees the world's busiest airport gave its approval wednesday to begin a program for paid, high-speed security lanes but also pushed for expedited free lanes called "black diamonds."
The Atlanta City Council's Transportation Committee approved a test program at Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport for Steve Brill's "Clear" lanes, which permit paying customers who undergo extensive background checks to move through airport security at a faster clip.
